Welcome to the June 2019 edition of the NYS Next Generation Roadmap Spotlight!Ìý Educators, administrators, and leaders across New York State are sharing their journey towards implementation of the Next Generation English Language Arts and Mathematics Learning Standards. The Roadmap Spotlight was created to encourage district-to-district support and collaboration across our state, enabling educators, administrators, and leaders to benefit from the collective knowledge and experiences of colleagues.

- Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES Professional Development Unit's response to the needs of their component districts by providing them with the Next Generation One Page Reference Guide. - Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District's approach to tackling the Next Generation Standards on multiple fronts in Standards:Ìý Building Clarity and Consistency.Ìý At the leadership level, teachers and administrators are prioritizing power standards and reviewing grade-specific units for alignment to the standards. ÌýAt the school level, teams of teachers are unpacking their grade-specific standards to build clarity and consistency.
